The Reka Side Chair spotlights contrasting width. In designing the chair, we played with wide and narrow, thick and thin: the legs are wide and flat along one axis, thin along the other, while the seat cushion was elongated and fattened vertically. We designed this chair for comfortable multi-hour sitting sessions, and used a slightly wider footprint and backrest for comfort. The wide panels emphasize the natural grain and luminescent sheen of the makata wood. The fabric is durable, meant for daily use, and resistant to spills and stains.
